Will Allen was a member of the Buddhafield cult for over twenty years, and he filmed the entire time. After graduating from film school, Allen joined Buddhafield and became the group's designated documentarian and unofficial "propaganda minister." Allen followed Buddhafield's charismatic and mysterious leader, Michel, very closely. Michel promised his followers spiritual redemption, but instead, they became victims of his brainwashing, control, and mental and sexual abuse. Through the collection of footage from that period of his life, Allen takes audiences on a recount of his journey in and out of the Buddhafield cult.
