High up in the Alps, the film follows engineers, scientists, and disaster relief organizations as they create, test, and implement safety measures often unseen to the general public. The efforts to shield local communities from avalanches, landslides, and the like are vast, costly, and complex. Yet, it is not a foolproof system. SAFETY123 is a candid reminder that we can try to control the natural world, but it will always overpower and outlast us in one way or another.
