In 1992 in Singapore, Sandi Tan, her friends, and her film teacher George set out to make Singapore's first road movie. They were full of youthful energy, overflowing inspiration, and burgeoning creativity. They called the film SHIRKERS. This is not that film.

After wrap, George disappeared with the footage, only for it to resurface years later after his death, without audio. In a powerful reclamation of the footage, Tan reimagines it into this impressive and cinematic documentary about creation, disappointment, and in the end, the power of reimagining and recreating from what was once thought lost.
